Lehigh Valley Phantoms Phan Club General Membership Meeting
Tuesday, April 24, 2018 Held at Chickie’s & Pete’s
Meeting was called to Order by President Shawn Meder at 7:00pm
Roll Call of Officers:
Present: Shawn Meder, President; Judi Leinhauser, VP Internal Operations; Ryan Padula, VP Community Outreach; Rick Collins, Treasurer; Kevin Shorten, Assistant Treasurer; Dave Christian, Secretary; Rob Caplette, Social Media Director; Lee Gaudreau, Sergeant at Arms.
Members present: The Sergeant at Arms is responsible for maintaining a list of all Members present at the General Membership Meeting; the Membership Committee also maintains this list. Please refer to either of these sources for details.
Secretary Dave C. reminded the Members that past Meeting Minutes are always available online at the Club website, phannation.org. Hard copies of these Minutes were also made available upon request. The Members acknowledged they were given a chance to read and review Minutes to our last Meeting, dated March 28, 2018. Motion from the floor was made and seconded to waive the reading of these Minutes, and to accept the Minutes of the meeting dated March 28, 2018, as part of the permanent record. Discussion was offered and declined. Motion passed by unanimous consent of the membership.
Treasurer Rick C. presented the Monthly Financial Report for the period ending April 24, 2018. To summarize:
Opening Balance: $ 7,264.79
Income: $ 4,031.20
Expenses: $ 4,895.47
Closing Balance @ 04/24/18: $ 6,400.52
Unfinished Business
Player of the Year Voting
Ended March 31st – The Award was presented to this seasons winner, T.J. Brennan, at an Award Presentation held after the April 14 Home Game.
Table Raffles
Autographed Taylor Leier and Robert Haag Sticks have been presented to the winners. Net amount raised by the Club for these Raffles, $425.00.
Autographed Shane “Ghost” Gostisbehere was presented to the winner. Net amount raised by the Club was $1,125.00.
Hartford/Providence Bus Trip was a huge success.
Banner Signing and Team Send-off were highly successful, and garnered great exposure for the Club.
Iron Pigs Game – Club Outing
July 29, 2018, 1:05pm start.
2 ½ Hours Buffet Lunch
Free water/sodas until Bottom of the 8th inning.
$28.00 per person, almost Sold Out.

Charitable Donations
A motion was made, seconded and approved by unanimous consent of the Club Membership, to fund $750.00 each the previously approved Charitable Donations, being;
Special Olympics of Lehigh County
Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank
We will be volunteering at, and presenting the check to, Special Olympics at their upcoming Bingo Event on April 29, 2018.

There has been some interest in organizing a Playoff Trip to Charlotte, if applicable.

We will be hosting a dinner at Brew Works this coming Saturday, 4:00pm – we need to have a headcount – see officer at main table after meeting. We will also be sending them off with food, snacks, etc. for the ride home

There being no other Business, President Shawn M. adjourned the Business part of the Meeting at 7:22pm.
Guest Speakers:
The Club was honored to welcome two Guest Speakers to this Meeting: Colin Mc Donald and Cole Bardreau, of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Colin & Cole conducted a Question and Answer session, followed by a Meet & Greet and Autograph session.
