Here are some frequently asked questions
Why is there a fan club?
A group of like-minded and positive-thinking hockey fans in the Lehigh Valley want to support the Phantoms team and organization as much as possible. We’re dedicated to supporting not only the players on the ice, but the organization off the ice as well. We promote the team and organization in the community and support their charitable endeavors.
Is it just for Season Ticket Holders?
While many of our members are Season Ticket Holders or Plan Holders, the “Phan Nation” club is for all fans of hockey in the Lehigh Valley—and beyond. In fact, it’s a great way for non-season ticket holders to stay in touch with the team and keep up with what’s going on without purchasing season tickets.
Other than going to the home games, what else do you do?
There are road trips in the works, to support the team on the ice outside of the PPL Center. But it’s a lot more than that, too. We support Phantoms Charities and their work in the community, support local youth hockey, as well as support our own charities.
Why does it cost money to join?
The organization is an officially registered non-profit 501(c)3. There are no paid positions and it’s not a way for the team to sell more tickets or make more money. The membership fee is to help with administrative expenses (web site hosting, registrations, PO Box, etc.)irt!
What else do I get with my membership? Free tickets?
You will receive full access to our ‘Members-only’ forum and you will receive advance notification of any road trips/events before opened up to non-members.
Is this the “official” fan club?
YES! We do have the support of the organization and have had meetings with Phantoms management to that end. We’ve also structured the organization, registered as a non-profit 501(c)3, and registered with the Association of American Hockey League Booster Clubs as the Lehigh Valley affiliate.
Is this a “booster club” then?
Not really. The team organization can handle their business functions without us. We’re more about supporting the team on the ice and supporting the organization out in the community. We’re also about supporting hockey development and local charities in the Lehigh Valley.
Road trips sound like fun, can I still go if I’m not a member?
Yes, however there will be a $25 surcharge per non-member attending. Once that surcharge is paid, you will now be a member and get all the membership benefits!!
How do I get involved?
Sign up for the mailing list. Send in the registration form or meet up with the club at a general membership meeting or at the table on the concourse at select home games this season, which can be found listed on the calendar.
How much time commitment is involved?
As much or as little as you want. There are committees to serve on, officer positions, chairmanships, and other things going on. The first step is to sign up and join. Then, go from there with whatever you’re comfortable with.
How can I renew my Membership online?
You can renew your membership for the upcoming season, by logging into your account and go the the following page on the Phan Nation Website – https://phannation.org/membership-renewal/.
